Dream - The arrival of Lailatul Qadar is a moment eagerly awaited by every Muslim. Although the Prophet Muhammad has given guidance on the arrival of the night of Lailatul Qadar in the last 10 days of Ramadan, the exact time is only known by Allah SWT. Most scholars say that there is a possibility that Lailatul Qadar will occur on the odd nights of the last 10 days of Ramadan. So, the task of Muslims is to prepare as best as possible for the arrival of this noble night.

The Prophet Muhammad always spent the nights during the month of Ramadan in worship. This is as explained in the authentic hadith of Muslim, narrated by Aisha: "I always witnessed him worshiping during Ramadan until dawn approached." In another hadith, Abu Ja'far Muhammad bin Ali also explained:

"Whoever encounters the month of Ramadan in a healthy and Islamic state, then fasts during the day and prays at night in a consistent manner, controls their eyes, guards their private parts, mouth, and hands, and always attends congregational prayers, then that person has truly fasted for one month and will attain the perfection of rewards and find Laylat al-Qadr and achieve the blessings bestowed by Allah SWT."

In the last 10 days of Ramadan, the Prophet Muhammad always woke up his family for the night prayer. This is explained in the hadith of Abu Dzar: "Indeed, the Prophet Muhammad and his family woke up (to worship) on the nights of the 23rd, 25th, and 27th. Especially on the night of the 29th. In fact, in one narration, the Prophet Muhammad woke up Fatimah and Ali on that night and said, "Come on, wake up, let's pray."

That shows that the Prophet saw considered the last 10 days of Ramadan very important. He even woke up his entire family to pray at night in the hope of obtaining Lailatul Qadar.

The practice that the Prophet Muhammad also performed in the last 10 days of Ramadan was to tighten his waist belt. The purpose was to avoid sleeping during those nights. He would isolate himself and perform a lot of worship. This is what is known as i'tikaf. As explained in the following hadith:

"That the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, during the last ten nights of Ramadan, would tighten his belt, engage in worship throughout the night, and wake up his family.""

Other practices carried out by the Prophet Muhammad in the last 10 days of Ramadan include fasting wishal. This means continuing the fast without breaking it until the next Maghrib prayer. The purpose is to combine the breaking of fast (buka) and pre-dawn meal (sahur) for two fasting nights. The goal is to make it easier to concentrate when worshiping Allah SWT and supplicating to Him. However, fasting wishal is only allowed for the Prophet Muhammad and is not recommended for his followers.
