West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Pol Syahduddi, stated that the victim committed this reckless act because she felt pressured to quickly marry her boyfriend.

According to the victim, the perpetrator's behavior at that time was threatening and forced her to transfer a sum of money. As a result, the woman was forced to get out when the vehicle was moving slowly. However, the perpetrator immediately chased after her and managed to catch her again, then brought her towards the perpetrator's car. When she was about to be put into the car, the victim shouted to someone who happened to pass by in the area outside the toll road.

And a few hundred meters after fleeing, the perpetrator stopped briefly and closed the trunk of the car. After the incident, the victim immediately contacted their family and reported to the police that same night. The perpetrator, identified as M, is charged with Article 368 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 365 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 335 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of nine years in prison.
