Dream - Getting married in Islam is considered as a completion of one's religion. Besides that, marriage can also protect oneself from committing adultery, which is strictly prohibited in the religion. The Prophet Muhammad said, "When someone gets married, it means they have completed half of their religion. Therefore, they should fear Allah for the other half." (HR. Baihaqi) So, is there a specific time in Islam that is considered the best for getting married? In essence, Islam does not recognize the concept of auspicious or inauspicious wedding days.

The month, for example, is the month of Ramadan and Shawwal. As explained in the hadith narrated by Aisha: "The Prophet saw married me in the month of Shawwal and had the first night with me in the month of Shawwal. Which wife of his received more attention than me?" One of the narrators said, 'Aisha liked it when her husband had the first night in the month of Shawwal.' (HR. Muslim, An-Nasa'i, and others)

Aisyah does not recommend Muslim women to get married in the month of Syawal. This is to avoid being the same as the Jahiliyah society. As for the marriage contract, it is recommended to be held on Friday, as that day is very auspicious in Islam. In addition, for the consummation of the marriage or the husband-wife relationship, it is better to be done in the month of Syawal. This is in accordance with what was explained in the hadith narrated by Aisyah: "The Prophet Muhammad married and consummated the marriage with me in the month of Syawal, and which of his wives is more virtuous than me?"

Some say that getting married in the month of Safar is not good because it can bring disaster and not receive blessings. However, that is not true. In fact, it is recommended to do so. It is important for Dream friends to know that the word "safar" in Arabic means zero, which is called "shifrun". In this month, the people of Jahiliyah used to embark on long journeys for war after being prohibited from fighting in the month of Muharram.

Then, holding a wedding in the month of Dhu al-Hijjah is also a good month to get married. This is because in that month the feast of Eid al-Adha is celebrated and it is considered a sacred month. So, before and after the Hajj holiday, namely between the months of Dhu al-Qidah, Dhu al-Hijjah, and Muharram, are good months if Dream friends want to hold a wedding.
