Dream - Chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK) Suhartoyo reprimanded the Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy'ari for taking too long to ask questions during the continued hearing of the dispute over the 2024 Presidential Election, Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Suhartoyo even asked Hasyim to stay motivated. Initially, Hasyim intended to respond to an expert from the Legal Team of Ganjar-Mahfud named I Gusti Putu Artha, who assessed that the KPU had made a procedural mistake by accepting the nomination of Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a vice presidential candidate.

As the respondent, Judge Suhartoyo also gave the opportunity for the KPU to ask, "Thank you, panel, expert brother if you read the decision of the Constitutional Court number 90... if you have it, maybe you can read it..," said Hasyim softly. According to Hasyim, the non-amendment of the PKPU regarding the requirement of being 40 years old for presidential and vice-presidential candidates is not a problem because there is a basis for the decision of MK number 90. "When the KPU accepts candidate registrations using KPU regulation number 19 of 2023, there is no change in the age requirement. However, an alternative route is provided for those who are not yet 40 years old. Now, in the view of the expert earlier who repeatedly stated that the KPU misinterpreted," said Hasyim.

Judge reprimanded Hasyim for asking questions, not explanations. Because if contradicting expert testimony, the KPU has the opportunity in the court agenda after the expert witness of the petitioner.
