"Sunnah Taqririyah" in English is "Confirmative Sunnah".

According to Kiai Said, Maulid Nabi is a taqririyah sunnah, which means words and actions that were not done by the Prophet, but were approved by Rasulullah SAW. Praising or glorifying Rasulullah SAW is also a taqririyah sunnah because it was never prohibited by Rasulullah. A companion named Ka'ab bin Juhair bin Abi Salma praised Prophet Muhammad SAW in a very long nadhom poem. In front of Prophet Muhammad, Ka'ab said that Prophet Muhammad is a great and noble person.

The Prophet's Birthday is Permitted by the Messenger of Allah SAW

When hearing the praise, the Prophet PBUH did not forbid it, instead, he even approved it. In fact, the Messenger of Allah PBUH gave a gift of a striped blanket that he was wearing, which is called Burdah in Arabic. It should be known that until now, the Burdah of Prophet Muhammad is still preserved in the Toqafi Museum, Istanbul, Turkey. Based on that, every poem or verse that praises Prophet Muhammad is called Burdah poem.
