This is something that visitors should not do.
Dream - Gunung Bromo tourist area, East Java, has been reopened since September 18, 2023, after a fire occurred at the Balai Besar Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru (BB TNBTS) headquarters.
TNBTS states that Bromo tourism is reopened normally through four entrance gates, namely Coban Trisula in Malang Regency, Wonokitri in Pasuruan Regency, Cemorolawang in Probolinggo Regency, and Senduro in Lumajang Regency.
"For visitors who want to tour Mount Bromo, they must first purchase tickets through the official TNBTS website because offline ticket purchases are not available, unless the online booking system is experiencing problems. The management has also issued a number of rules and prohibitions for those who want to visit the Bromo tourist area. This is to prevent any further fires."
The following are the prohibitions quoted from the official website of Bromo's online booking: 1. Taking, picking, cutting plants and/or their parts, as well as other objects. 2. Capturing, injuring, and/or killing wildlife within the area. 3. Bringing animals into or out of the area. 4. Bringing alcoholic beverages or alcohol. 5. Bringing prohibited drugs such as ecstasy, heroin, marijuana, and the like.
6. Bring musical instruments and other sound-making devices. 7. Bring electronic devices such as communication radios (Handy Talky), tape radios, etc., except wristwatches. 8. Bring firearms, air rifles, explosives, and other sharp weapons. 9. Bring hunting equipment such as firearms, arrows, and others. 10. Bring detergent materials and other pollutants that are harmful to the environment in the Bromo area.
11. Committing vandalism by damaging tourist facilities and sticking graffiti in the area. 12. Littering in the area and not bringing down the trash brought. 13. Making bonfires and/or fires within the area that can cause forest fires. 14. Engaging in indecent acts.
There are seven rules that visitors to the Gunung Bromo tourist area must adhere to, namely: 1. Visitors must pay attention to and comply with the choice of destination site for TNBTS tourism, according to the site on the entrance ticket that has been booked through online booking. 2. Visitors who choose to visit the Savana Teletabies/Sand Sea destination site are allowed to enter after 06.00 AM. 3. Standard Operating Procedures for nature tourism in TNBTS must still be strictly followed and implemented in an orderly manner.
4. Health protocols also need to be strictly and regularly implemented by business actors (e.g. transportation, consumption, and accommodation) by adhering to and considering health, hygiene, security, and safety criteria. 5. Pregnant women are prohibited from entering the TNBTS area. 6. Visitors should bring hand sanitizer and/or liquid soap to clean their hands. 7. Ticket purchases cannot be done offline and can only be done online through the website https://bookingbromo.bromotenggersemeru.org according to the availability of quotas.
