Dream - The Constitutional Court (MK) has decided to reject the lawsuit regarding the dispute over the results of the 2024 general election (PHPU) or the presidential election dispute filed by presidential and vice-presidential candidates with numbers 1 and 3, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

"Furthermore, according to the current government's established scenario, Prabowo and the next cabinet will leave Jakarta to serve in the future capital of Nusantara (IKN)."

"IKN and free lunch, these are two policies that have received attention, not only domestically but also internationally. Concrete and realistic steps from the government regarding these two policies are eagerly awaited to build confidence,"

"ujar Wijayanto dikutip dari Merdeka.com, Selasa, 23 April 2024." translates to "said Wijayanto quoted from Merdeka.com, Tuesday, April 23, 2024."

The figure who once became an Expert Council of National Team AMIN assesses that the easiest way to convince investors is that every policy to be taken must have a clear technocratic process.

He reminded that the planned IKN program and the free lunch that will be implemented by the new government must have a clear feasibility study. Wijayanti exemplifies the IKN program, which is certain to continue running, but must consider the scale factor and the construction schedule to be reasonable. Another consideration is the budget capability to finance the megaproject. "Free lunch, okay, this will be forced to continue. However, also with scale, with appropriate piloting according to our budget capability," he continued.

According to him, one thing that is actually highly anticipated by many parties is how the new government organizes and implements an efficient State Budget (APBN). The usage should be oriented towards improving economic productivity.

"When the government persists with populist policies, wasteful budgeting, but has no impact on productivity, then investors will receive mixed messages. It's a discrepancy between what is narrated and what is actually done," said Wijayanto. Usually, he added, investors will then choose alternatives that they consider safer. They tend to shift towards the quality aspect of the investment."

"One indicator that trust from investors towards an economy is decreasing is the soaring price of gold. We can see it in Indonesia, where the price of gold has increased, and many people are starting to shift their savings."

tutur Wijayanto.
