Dream - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, said that the government has set a budget ceiling for free lunch or free nutritious meals proposed by President-elect Prabowo Subianto at Rp71 trillion.
The budget is included in the State Budget Revenue and Expenditure (RAPBN) for 2025, which was discussed in a meeting with the transition team of the Prabowo Subianto government and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
According to him, the government and the Government Synchronization Task Force Team have agreed on several points of the 2025 State Budget. Including allocation for several priority programs.
"Including one of them is related to support for flagship programs. One of them is certainly the free nutritious (meal) program that has been allocated in the 2025 state budget of around Rp71 trillion, and of course there are priorities and other technical matters."

Airlangga conveyed that the discussion between the government and the elected president Prabowo Subianto also involves the Indonesian Parliament (DPR RI). This budget discussion is considered important to prepare the economic policies for 2025 amidst the uncertainty of the global economy due to geopolitical tensions and the strengthening trend of the United States dollar (USD).
