This appeal is made based on the regulations of the Thai Immigration. "Appeal for Indonesian citizens who will visit Thailand. Let's pay attention! According to the regulations of the Thai Immigration, foreign nationals who make a short visit to Thailand with a visa-free entry need to show proof of financial capability to support their living expenses while in Thailand," wrote the Indonesian Embassy.

KBRI Bangkok said that the Thai Immigration did not specifically mention the amount of money that needs to be brought, but based on a reliable source, the cash that needs to be brought is 15,000-20,000 baht or around Rp6.5 million to Rp8.7 million.

"Thai Immigration does not specifically mention the provision regarding the minimum amount of cash that needs to be brought. However, based on open sources, it is recommended to bring a minimum of THB 15,000-20,000 in cash per person. The Indonesian Embassy also explained the things that Indonesian citizens need to prepare when visiting Thailand. Here are the requirements:

1. Have a passport with a minimum validity of 6 months. 2. Have proof of a return ticket. 3. Have proof of accommodation/hotel reservation during the stay in Thailand. 4. Have financial proof to support the cost of living during the stay in Thailand, including carrying sufficient cash.

KBRI Bangkok emphasizes that granting permission and refusal to enter Thailand is entirely the authority of Thai Immigration officers. "According to the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979) of Thailand, granting permission or refusal for foreigners to enter Thai territory is solely the authority of Thai Immigration officers," he said.
