Dream - President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, admitted not to worry about the Rp1 trillion debt that the government has not yet paid for subsidized fertilizer costs.

"He explained that, at least in the past 4 years, there has been approximately Rp16.6 trillion of subsidy allocation paid by the government to the corporation. However, there is still around Rp1 trillion that has not been paid."

According to Rahmad, the payment of Rp16.6 trillion was made on December 28, 2023. Meaning, he added, almost all of the outstanding bills for subsidized fertilizer have been paid by the government.

Former boss of East Kalimantan Fertilizer (PKT) admitted not to worry about the country not paying the amount. He reiterated that the subsidy shortfall was only hindered by administrative aspects.

"We are never worried about the government's ability and willingness to pay. The government will definitely pay. The delayed subsidy payment is more due to administrative issues," said Rahmad.
