The number of travelers during the 2024 Eid al-Fitr transportation period is predicted to reach 193.6 million people or 71.7 percent of Indonesia's population.

This number increases compared to the number of travelers in 2022, which is 85.5 million people, and 123 million people for travelers in 2023.

BKT also conducted a survey of 48,000 respondents regarding the homecoming transportation during Eid al-Fitr 2024. The results showed that 52 percent stated that they would be going home for the purpose of celebrating Eid al-Fitr.

Then 35.2 percent stated that they traveled to visit their families. The rest, 10.6 percent, took advantage of the Eid holiday to go on vacation.

In addition, based on the profiling of the respondents who will travel for mudik, they are private sector workers with monthly income ranging from Rp3 million to Rp5 million.
