Dream - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk through its subsidiary PT Jasamarga Japek Selatan (JJS) is preparing the functional lane of Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II South Toll Road Segment Sadang-Kutanegara, with a length of 8.5 KM, during the 2024 Eid holiday period.

The President Director of PT JJS, Charles Lendra, explained that the operating hours will follow the discretion of the Police by considering the current traffic situation.

Because the opening of the functional lane is intended to help reduce congestion at Simpang Susun Dawuan Km 66, which is the meeting point of traffic from Bandung and surrounding areas passing through the Cipularang Toll Road, as well as traffic from Trans Java passing through the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. Charles explained that the diversion of traffic to the Japek II Selatan Functional Lane is done when congestion conditions at KM 66 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road reach 2 agreed indicators, namely:

- Density reaching KM 70 GT Cikampek Utama (from Palimanan direction) and KM 72 Cipularang Toll Road (from Bandung direction) for 1 hour.- Density at GT Kalihurip Utama along 5 KM reaching KM 72 Cipularang section) for 1 hour and also ensuring no traffic congestion on the arterial route after exiting from the functional lane.

Charles added, to enter the functional lane, road users can prepare themselves before Ramp 8, the entrance to the functional lane located at KM 77 Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta.

Vehicles coming from Bandung can choose the alternative road SS Sadang-Kutanegara if the functional lane is open.

"Before entering our functional lane, we will provide signboards installed at 1 KM, 500 M, 200 M and at the intersection before entering the toll road access. We also install warning signs so that road users who want to use alternative lanes can prepare before entering the lane. We will also place traffic management officers at the entrance to help direct road users."

While for access towards the exit of Jalan Industri from the direction of GT Kutanegara, there will also be signs indicating the directions installed 1 KM, 500 M, and 200 M before the toll road exit.

The warning signs have been prepared so that road users who want to take an alternative route can turn right towards Jakarta-Cikampek\/Karawang Barat\/Jakarta Toll Road or turn left towards Purwakarta.
