Dream - Mahfud Md has decided to resign from the position of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs. He has even printed his resignation letter and only needs to submit it to President Joko Widodo. This vice presidential candidate number 3 has decided to resign in order to maintain independence during the 2024 presidential election process. He plans to submit his resignation letter to Jokowi on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

"The State Minister is given a basic salary of Rp 5,040,000.00 per month," stated Article 2 of Government Regulation No. 60 of 2000. In addition to the salary, a minister also receives ministerial allowances as stipulated in Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 68 of 2001, amounting to Rp 13,608,000 per month."

"State Ministers, Attorney General, and Commander of the Indonesian National Army and other officials with equivalent positions or appointments to State Ministers are entitled to a salary of Rp 13,608,000.00," stated Article 1 Paragraph (2) section e. If totaled, the salary received by Mahfud MD is approximately Rp 18,648,000 per month. However, this salary does not include calculations of other allowances or operational funds obtained by the minister."
