Dream - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto is scheduled to participate in a simulation agenda of a free lunch program advocated by the Prabowo-Gibran pair in the 2024 Presidential Election.
In the invitation received by Merdeka.com, a simulation event of a free lunch program for elementary and junior high school students will be held at SMP Negeri 2 Curug, Tanggerang, on Thursday afternoon, February 29, 2024.

"Previously, Airlangga Hartarto revealed the budget amount for the free lunch program promoted by Prabowo-Gibran which is around Rp 15,000 per child. Airlangga emphasized that the budget of Rp 15,000 per child for lunch is separate from the free milk program."
Regarding the free lunch menu, it will be handed over to each local government. In other words, there are no standard rules regarding the types of food menus regulated by the central government.

Although so, Airlangga is not yet willing to disclose which region will be the first to implement the free meals and milk program for children. According to him, the government in the relevant ministry will only discuss the budget preparation for the free lunch program, which is included in the State Budget (RAPBN) 2025.
