"Dream - Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that the fulfillment of nutrition from the free lunch program initiated by the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair Prabowo-Gibran has not been discussed by the ministers in President Jokowi's cabinet. However, the regions that will implement the free lunch program have not yet been announced by the government.
When asked about the fulfillment of nutrition based on the budget, Budi assessed that the calculations for each region could be different.
"He evaluates the budget of Rp15,000 if applied to several regions, for example, Yogyakarta it is sufficient. 'If in Jogja, it's enough,' said Budi."
Budi said that the free lunch program was indeed discussed in the Full Cabinet Meeting on the Government's Work Plan (RKP) 2025 on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Budi emphasizes that in the next government period, the nutrition fulfillment program for infants and pregnant women is still ongoing. This is especially important in reducing stunting cases.
This means, in the next government, the fulfillment of nutrition is not only for mothers and babies but also for children through the free lunch program.
"So now it's already available, not only for toddlers, but also for older children, we also want to add a lunch program," said Budi.
