Dream - Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas said the government will open 225 thousand civil servant recruitment positions in 2024 for placement in the National Capital (IKN) of Nusantara, East Kalimantan.
According to the plan, recruitment for this civil servant will only be opened in April 2024.
Anas said, all ministries/ institutions continue to hold coordination meetings to open more than 200,000 civil servant recruitment (CPNS) positions in the central government. The target is that the proposal for CPNS positions in 2024, specifically for IKN, can be completed by next March.
"So it's approximately 225 thousand in total for fresh graduates in the central government, allocated for IKN. This means that from now on, since it was announced, they are already for IKN. So when the time comes, next year or 3 years later, to move to IKN, they should directly move."

Former Regent of Banyuwangi said, the verification process for the submission of the formation cannot be random in order to comply with the President's instructions.
"Because if not, later the president's directive on digital talent, he will still propose technical personnel, so we will evaluate later. We continue to hold meetings with relevant ministries/institutions, the talent that we will recruit in the 2024 Civil Service Recruitment in March."

"Although the target proposal process is completed in March, the opening of CPNS formations still depends on the verification readiness of each ministry/agency. Especially for those who are not technical staff and can have an impact on improving performance productivity. 'The target is in March, April it should be completed, it can be opened. So, this is much earlier, usually in September,' said Anas."
"Furthermore, according to Anas, the Government is currently verifying proposals from ministries/institutions for the placement of civil servants in IKN. The benchmark is that the recruitment of civil servants must align with the needs of the central government."
"If it is not appropriate, then we still need a new formation. So now the key is in the ministry/agency together with BKN to verify the accuracy of the proposed formation that is prepared to be announced to the public," said Anas."
