Dream - An accident occurred in the contra flow at KM 58 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Karawang, West Java, on Monday, April 8, 2024. The accident, which happened during the homecoming traffic, resulted in dozens of fatalities.
Victims in a traffic accident will receive insurance from Jasa Raharja. However, not all drivers and passengers who become victims of accidents will receive compensation for traffic accident insurance.
According to the official website of Jasa Raharja, there are certain groups who are not entitled to compensation even if they are victims of traffic accidents.
Referring to Law Number 34 of 1964 Jo Government Regulation Number 18 of 1965, drivers who are the cause of traffic accidents will not receive insurance claims or benefits from Jasa Raharja.
"For drivers who experience accidents that cause collisions between two or more motor vehicles, neither the driver nor the passengers of the vehicle are guaranteed, including pedestrians or motor vehicle drivers/passengers who intentionally cross the railroad crossing barrier that is in operation."
