Many parties are worried that TikTok Shop will erode domestic businesses because it is suspected that many products sold actually come from abroad. That is why the government has issued a decision to remove TikTok Shop as a means of buying and selling.

The government will direct UMKM actors to sell on e-commerce platforms. This is to familiarize UMKM actors with the digitalization flow. "With transformation, especially digitalization, and new government regulations, UMKM actors are expected to prepare themselves so as not to be surprised again," said Sandiaga.

According to him, offline markets, such as Tanah Abang, have become quiet due to changes in shopping patterns of the society. Sandiaga advised that by innovatively responding to e-commerce, it can become a solution for the improvement of small and medium enterprises (UMKM).

"In improving SMEs, the government encourages exhibitions to market local products. Through exhibitions, SME products are not only pursued to exist in Indonesia but also abroad."
