Dream - Worrying news for anti-corruption efforts comes from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). This government institution reported that the Anti-Corruption Behavior Index (IPAK) in 2024 experienced a decline from the previous year.
In the report of the Anti-Corruption Behavior Survey (SPAK) 2024, BPS reported that IPAK 2024 is at 3.85 on a scale of 0 to 5. This number is lower compared to the achievement of IPAK 2023 (3.92).

BPS reveals that there is an increase in the Perception Index from 2020 until 2023, then it decreases in 2024. "This indicates a decrease in the understanding and assessment of the community regarding anti-corruption behavior," BPS wrote on its official website. Meanwhile, the Experience Index in 2024 is 3.89, lower compared to 2023 (3.96). The Urban Community Perception Index in 2024 is higher (3.86) compared to the Rural Community (3.83).
"The higher the education, the more inclined society is towards anti-corruption," wrote BPS. In 2024, the IPAK of educated society below high school is 3.81, high school is 3.87, and above high school is 3.97."
