"Dream - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) reminds the public to register immediately regarding the process of purchasing subsidized 3 Kilogram (Kg) LPG. This provision will take effect starting tomorrow, Monday, January 1, 2024. With this new regulation, the purchase of 3 Kg LPG can only be made by consumers who bring an ID card and certain users who have been recorded as recipients of the 'melon' LPG subsidy."

"The registration process has been known to have started since March 1, 2023, through Pertamina's official bases throughout Indonesia."
The translation of "Cara Mendaftar" to English is "How to Register".
The Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tutuka Ariadji, stated that the public only needs to show their ID card and Family Card (KK) at the distributor or official base when they want to purchase 3 Kg LPG.
"The community does not need to worry because the registration process is very easy, fast, and secure. Just show your ID card and family card,"
Tutuka revealed, quoted from Liputan6.com.
To maximize the data collection process, the government encourages users of 3 kg LPG who have not yet registered to do so immediately. "The data collection of 3 Kg LPG users as the initial step of this transformation process is carried out from March 1 to December 31, 2023," explained Tutuka.
"Tutuka guarantees that the consumer data for 3 kg LPG that has been registered and recorded in the Pertamina merchant app will be protected, in accordance with the provisions of Law Number (UU) 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection."
Who Can Buy Subsidized 3 Kg LPG?
"Based on Presidential Regulation Number 104 of 2007 and Number 38 of 2019, 3 kg LPG gas cylinders are intended for: households, micro businesses that use gas for cooking, fishermen, and farmers."
"If one family member has registered, then the other family members do not need to register. As mentioned earlier, the community only needs to bring their ID card (KTP) and family card (KK) to the official Pertamina base. After that, they can purchase 3 kg LPG. Currently, there is no limit on the amount of 3 kg LPG that consumers can purchase. Consumers can also check their ID card NIK to find out if they are registered on the website http:\/\/subsiditepat.mypertamina.id\/LPG\/CekNIK."
