"Dream - National Team architect (Timnas) of Indonesian football, Shin Tae Yong, will handle the Garuda pride team of Indonesia for a longer period. "Although Shin Tae Yong has officially extended his contract with the Garuda Muda team, Erick did not mention the value of the contract extension for the coach from South Korea (Korea Selatan/Korsel)."
"Previously, PSSI also refused to officially disclose the value of Shin Tae Yong's contract in 2019. Information regarding the contract value was only obtained from former Chairman of PSSI, Mochamad Iriawan alias Iwan Bule, when appointing Shin Tae Yong in 2019."
According to Merdeka.com, the contract value of Shin Tae Yong in 2019 was around US$1 million per year. This means that the contract value is equivalent to Rp16.2 billion. The assumption of this contract refers to Rp16,220 per US$.
It is known, Coach Shin Tae Yong successfully led the Young Garuda National Team to the semi-finals of the AFC U-23 Championship after defeating South Korea through a penalty shootout drama with a score of 11-10.
The victory in the match held at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Doha, Qatar, on Friday, 26 April 2024 (Indonesian time) not only creates a new history for Indonesia.
