Dream - This is the story of Mohammed Abubakar, an aircraft cleaner who proved that one can dream as high as others. Abubakar, who used to be a cleaner, is now a pilot who has become a captain in an aircraft.
The following is the translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "This man from Nigeria started his career for 24 years in the aviation world as an aircraft janitor. He only received a daily wage of US$0.50 or around Rp8,000. Now, he has become a full-fledged pilot with his license."
Failed to register for pilot school at Kaduna Polytechnic, as reported by Afrotech, Abubakar decided to work at Kobo Air as an aircraft cleaner. This profession is not highly sought after by many people due to its very low salary.
However, Abubakar still took the job. While diving to drink water, he also learned about the aviation world. Until he was promoted to become a cabin crew.
Abubakar then worked at Aero Contractors as a flight attendant. This profession is what allows him to use his years of experience.
As a firefighter, his salary is certainly much higher than that of a janitor. However, Abubakar still holds a dream of becoming a pilot.
With the help of its main director, Abubakar followed a pilot training program located in Canada. In this country, he obtained a private pilot license and continued with a commercial pilot license.
His dream has been achieved, he is now part of Azman Air Services Limited, based in Kano, Nigeria.
Azman Air has uploaded a photo on X displaying the moment when he was promoted to captain. Abubakar's story shows that with perseverance and strong determination, dreams can become a reality.
