Dream - Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) for 2024 is confirmed to increase, after the government issued regulations regarding wages, namely Government Regulation Number 51 of 2023 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 36 of 2021 regarding Wages.

"The increase in minimum wages is a form of appreciation to our fellow workers who have contributed to our economic development all this time."

According to Ida, the increase in UMP will realize a fair wage system in the company, one of which is through the implementation of wage structure and scale.

"The implementation of wage structure and scale will motivate the increase in productivity and performance of workers/laborers because they will be paid based on their work output or productivity."

He said.

Besides that, the Minister also informed that the determination of the Provincial Minimum Wage should be set no later than November 21 and for the District/City Minimum Wage on November 30. In line with that, the labor union urges the government to immediately increase the minimum wage in 2024 by 15 percent. Referring to the existing regulations, the determination of UMR is 60 days before its implementation, which is on January 1, 2024.
