Dream - Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Retno Marsudi cast her vote at polling station (TPS) 156, which is located near her private residence in RW 27 Pesona Khayangan, Mekar Jaya District, Depok, West Java, on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Foreign Minister accompanied by her husband, Agus Marsudi, when Depok was still being poured with rain. Based on Liputan6.com's observation, they even arrived at 7:20 AM when the TPS officers were still preparing.
"So, we do live in Depok, yeah, so every election we vote in Depok. This is at polling station 156, I left my official residence earlier at around 06.15 in the morning, so it won't be crowded."

Like other voters, he also queued while greeting residents. Some residents also invited Foreign Minister Retno to take photos together.
To be known, the Foreign Minister has been living in Depok since 1989. Minister Retno herself admitted feeling relieved after exercising her voting rights. "The important thing is that we have fulfilled our rights as Indonesian citizens to vote," she added.
In the same occasion, Foreign Minister Retno responded to the implementation of elections abroad. She emphasized that the implementation of the 2024 elections is fully under the authority of the General Election Commission (KPU), which is carried out abroad by the Overseas Election Committee (PPLN).
"So, Article 1 Paragraph 13 of the election law states that the overseas election committee, hereinafter referred to as PPLN, is a committee formed by the KPU to carry out elections abroad. So, that is the jurisdiction of PPLN," explained Foreign Minister Retno. Meanwhile, representatives abroad, both KBRI and KJRI, are only tasked with facilitating the smooth running of the elections."
