Bobby Nasution is the husband of Kahiyang Ayu, Jokowi's daughter. He has been serving as the Mayor of Medan since February 26, 2021. Before venturing into politics, Bobby worked in the real estate industry in 2011. In 2016, he also joined the real estate company Takke Group as a marketing director.

Even alumni of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) once became the manager of Medan Jaya football club in 2014. He also served as the Deputy Chairman of HIPMI Petahana starting from 2022.
