The Director of the Hajj Development Directorate General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Arsad Hidayat, stated that this policy was taken in response to the pros and cons related to Mina Jadid so far.

He conveyed that the government has found an alternative location, which is around the Southeast Asian pilgrims' tents, precisely near the tents of Malaysian, Filipino, and Thai pilgrims.

Mina Jadid is an expansion of Mina that still raises pros and cons. Considering that at one point, Mina Jadid became part of Muzdalifah. However, at another time, it became part of Mina.

However, the transfer of the hajj pilgrims' location near the Asian pilgrims' tents is not without risks. Because the alternative location is not very spacious, there is a high potential for congestion and overcrowding among the pilgrims.
