Dream - WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging applications in the world. However, starting from 2024, some old Android and iPhone phones will no longer be able to install the WhatsApp application. This is due to WhatsApp's policy that does not support outdated operating systems.
"Devices and software often change, so we periodically review which operating systems we will support and make updates."

Old Mobile Phone with Lower Operating System
On the official WhatsApp Help Center page, they announced that they will no longer support devices with Android OS specifications below version 5.0, iOS 11 or lower, and also KaiOS below version 2.5.0. This means that some older phones with lower operating systems will not be able to use WhatsApp starting in 2024.
However, Dream Friends don't need to worry if they can't use WhatsApp or afraid to switch to newer devices. WhatsApp will provide a notification before discontinuing its support on a device. Here is a list of mobile phones that will not be able to use WhatsApp in 2024, based on their respective brands:
