Dream - Efforts to maintain sustainability are continuously carried out by Coca Cola and Grab together with Yayasan Mahija Parahita Nusantara and Waste4Change by recycling used consumer plastic bottle packaging into new bottles. They named these efforts 'Recycle Me'.

"'Recyle Me', which has entered its third year for Coca-Cola, Mahija Parahita Nusantara Foundation, and Waste4Change, aims to help Indonesian society to better understand the importance of the recycling process."

In the third year, Coca-Cola partnered with Grab to support efforts to improve recycling programs with a target to recycle and reduce 30% of plastic bottle waste by 2030.

Applying three pillars as the main thing in achieving success from the 'Recycle Me' program consists of packaging design that invites consumers to be aware of the importance of preserving the environment, collection for collecting used packaging items that will be recycled, and partners as manufacturers and processors of used goods.

In this case, PT Coca-Cola aims to collect as many used bottles as possible to be transformed into new bottles.

"We see a great opportunity in utilizing the Grab network and this is in line with the global vision of 'World Without Waste,'" said Triyono Projosoesilo, Director of Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability of PT Coca-Cola Indonesia at the launch of 'Recyle Me' on Friday, October 6, 2023, yesterday at Square One, South Quarter Dome, South Jakarta."

Known, used consumer bottle packaging can be recycled through a process of seven to eight times. Bottles that have been contaminated by other liquids can still be recycled through a decontamination process for eight hours with high temperature and pressure. The recycled product can produce clothes, bags, and other accessories.

In the 'Recycle Me' program, Grab provides a discount of up to Rp30 thousand for the first 20,000 participating customers in the shipping cost.

In addition, consumers also have the potential to earn reward points that can be exchanged for credit, electricity tokens, and e-wallet worth up to Rp15,000 through OVO.
