Alhamdulillah, Thirsty! Officially Obtained Halal Certificate

Dream - PT Halal Digital International (Halalin) officially obtained a halal certificate from the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH). The certificate was also witnessed by PT SUCOFINDO for the company with its flagship brand Thirsty!

Halalin, with the brand Thirsty!, is a culinary company founded in 2018 by four founders, namely Gufron Syarif, Daman, Feri, and Sigit.

The Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Thirsty!, Daman Wijaya, stated that the company, which operates in the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, needs halal certification to run its business.

"We applied for this halal certification as one step to improve the quality and service of our company to all consumers, in line with Thirsty!'s vision of spreading happiness through a cup of drink," said Daman, as quoted from Merdeka.com, on Monday, July 31, 2023.

The Head of Halal Unit of PT SUCOFINDO, Agus Suryanto, appreciates the achievement of obtaining the halal certification by Thirsty!. He explained that their institution will consistently continue to support their partner in obtaining halal certification.

"We congratulate Thirsty! and hope that this halal certification can increase the trust of Indonesian society and expand its consumer base. In addition, we also appreciate HALALIN's commitment to consistently support its partners in obtaining halal certification," said Agus.

Agus also expressed optimism in being ready to serve the examination and/or testing of the halalness of other products with broader coverage nationally and internationally.

"We are ready to support the realization of the halal certification achievement target and make Indonesia grow into the center of the world's halal industry by 2024," he added.

The Head of BPJPH, M. Aqil Irham, also congratulated Thirsty! for obtaining the halal certificate.

"As a government representative, in this case, BPJPH congratulates Thirsty! on its new achievement of obtaining the Halal Certificate. We hope it can be maintained, in line with maintaining the reputation of Thirsty!. And if there are additions to outlets and products, please remain consistent in obtaining certification," said Aqil.

Previously, this Halal Certificate went through the halal product examination process by the Main Halal Inspection Agency (LPH) of PT SUCOFINDO.

Furthermore, the Fatwa Commission of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) conducted a halal fatwa session. After being determined as halal, the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) issued the Halal Certificate.
