Viral News of Jockey in the Recruitment Test of SOEs Batch 2, Erick Thohir Orders Subordinates to Investigate Thoroughly

Dream - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir has instructed his staff to investigate allegations of fraud in the use of jockeys in the English language test in the Joint Recruitment of SOEs batch 2.

Special Staff to the Minister of SOEs Arya Sinulingga said Erick had instructed the Forum Human Capital Indonesia (FHCI) and the Deputy for Human Resources (HR) of the Ministry of SOEs Tedi Bharata to immediately follow up on the allegations.

"We immediately follow up on the (alleged case) that is being talked about and Mr. Erick has instructed both the HR deputy and FHCI to resolve this as soon as possible. And if it needs to be addressed, it will be addressed," he said as quoted from Liputan6.com, Monday, January 16, 2023.

Arya revealed that Erick was disappointed with the reports of fraud. Moreover, the person concerned is an employee in one of the SOEs.

"What about in his SOE when he works? So Mr. Erick asked for all these problems to be resolved yesterday," he explained.

The news of allegations of jockeys in the Joint Recruitment of SOEs Batch 2 emerged after many netizens shared evidence of fraud on Twitter.

The Ministry of SOEs as the organizer took quick action together with FHCI, which is recognized to have methods that can detect such fraud. 

"FHCI has a method that makes the recruitment of SOEs if there are those who use jockeys also caught. So we will follow up on everything," he continued.

Nevertheless, the Ministry of SOEs appreciates the public's attention to the transparency of alleged fraud. This is one form of public oversight of the recruitment process. 

"We are happy now to show that the recruitment of SOE employees is very transparent so that all the public can observe and contribute input to the recruitment process of SOEs," he said.
