This pyramid was built by the Begazy-Dandibay culture in the Late Bronze Age in central Kazakhstan. This semi-nomadic community had a primary focus on metallurgy and livestock. Their success lay in extensive metal trading across various Eurasian regions, providing significant benefits from metal exports and creating a new aristocratic class within the Begazy-Dandibay community.

In one of the top parts of the cemetery, archaeologists found a bronze arrowhead and mysterious fragments of pottery. The latter is the discovery of animal bones that are often used in traditional ceremonies, both inside the cemetery and around the pyramid stairs.

"In that settlement, there is a well-organized network of roads and irrigation systems. In the research, archaeologists found the presence of a special altar for sacrificial ceremonies, a place where ceremonial offerings are made to the gods. 'In the Bronze Age rituals of the inhabitants of Kazakhstan, offerings are given to the sun, moon, fire, and the protective spirit 'ongun',' said Cinar."
