He answered, 'No.' The Prophet asked again, 'Are you able to fast for two consecutive months?' The companion replied, 'No.' The Prophet asked again, 'Do you have food to give to sixty poor people?' The Prophet asked again, 'Do you have any food to give to sixty poor people?' The person replied, 'No.' Then, a man from the Ansar came with a big container filled with dates. The Prophet said, 'Go and distribute it as charity.' The companion said, 'Is there anyone poorer than me, O Messenger of Allah? By Allah who has sent you with the truth, no one is more in need between two towns than my family.' Then, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, 'Go and feed your family.'"
