Dream - Gus Miftah is once again a topic of conversation because his video of distributing money to residents of Pamekasan, Madura, went viral on social media. The video of the man named Miftah Maulana Habiburokhman sharing money also received a response from political communication expert, Henri Subiakto.

In response to the viral video, Gus Miftah immediately clarified. He denied engaging in money politics in the video. Gus Miftah explained that at that time, he was having a friendly visit with one of the wealthy entrepreneurs in Pamekasan.

"Haji Her (in the front) is a wealthy entrepreneur from Pamekasan who gives charity every day in the market, in the rice fields, in Islamic boarding schools, and others. Yesterday, I visited him," said Gus Miftah, as quoted from Jatim Times, Friday, December 29, 2023. He mentioned that at that time Haji Her was indeed distributing charity. Gus Miftah also admitted that he was asked to help distribute the charity.

"He was about to give alms and I was asked to help distribute his alms," he said. Gus Miftah denied engaging in money politics. He emphasized that the activity of distributing money was not related to politics and was only about distributing someone else's alms."

"Not, he (Haji Her) donates every day," he said. Meanwhile, the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Pamekasan Regency, East Java, will summon Gus Miftah regarding the viral video of distributing money. The Chairman of Bawaslu Pamekasan, Sukma Umbara Tirta Firdaus, stated that they have scheduled the summons for Gus Miftah."
