"Dream - India recently proposed new regulations in the aviation industry that sound strange to citizens from other countries. The Bollywood nation announced a provision that pilots and flight attendants in their country are prohibited from using perfume."
This prohibition is issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation India (India's Office of the Director General of Civil Aviation) or (DGCA) as the aviation industry regulator, which recently proposed updates to regulations regarding alcohol consumption.
Besides beverages, the CNN International report mentioned that the DGCA also prohibits alcohol products that can cause positive test results, such as mouthwash. However, the new part that attracts attention in the guidelines is the ban on the use of perfume.
