Dream - Accelerice Indonesia and Harapura Impact once again held the FSIA (Food Startup Indonesia Accelerator) acceleration program from November 22 to December 7, 2023. The event, with the theme "Fast Forward to Future Food," marked the sixth year of FSIA with a focus on access to healthy and nutritious food. Through this theme, FSIA invites food startups to prioritize the availability of food with equal levels of health and nutrition for all layers of society.
"Charlotte Kowara as the Chief Empowerment Officer of Accelerice Indonesia, in her opening speech at Tugu Kunstkring Paleis, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, highlighted the importance of integrating three pillars, technology, ESG, and business in the food industry."
From 130 registered startups, only nine startups were selected to participate in FSIA 2023, two of them are Duitin and Smooly Juice, who have the opportunity to present their innovations to investors and large-scale business players in the FMCG, food, and beverage sectors. It is known that FSIA 2023, which has attracted the attention of the food industry, is also supported by major companies such as Indofood and Mayora.
"We are committed to supporting the FSIA program as it aligns with the various efforts undertaken by Indofood to promote the development of food startups," said Head of Corporate Communication of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, Stefanus Indrayana."
"We are committed to creating economic value and strengthening the food system in Indonesia," he added.
Tania Ariningtyas, Sustainability Manager of PT Mayora Indah Tbk, also highlights the importance of circular economy and waste management, as well as encouraging the growth and innovation of food startups to continue developing and competing in the Indonesian food market.
"We focus on educating the public about the importance of waste management," he said. This initiative is expected to strengthen the food supply chain in Indonesia, from production to waste management. FSIA 2023 opens opportunities for startups to contribute to a more sustainable and innovative food future."
This event has become a symbol of hope and progress in realizing a sustainable food system in Indonesia. The success of FSIA 2023 paves the way for more innovation and collaboration, promising a sustainable and effective transformation in the Indonesian food industry.
The closure of FSIA 2023 yesterday marked not only the end of an event, but also the beginning of a new journey towards a more sustainable food system in Indonesia.
