Dream - Have Dream's friends ever been to a restaurant and found a fried banana menu? Surely it looks tempting and whets the appetite. Fried bananas are a popular dish in some places, especially in the Southeast Asia region.
This dish usually consists of bananas dipped in flour batter and then fried until golden brown. Fried bananas are often served as snacks or desserts in various restaurants, with a delicious taste and crispy and savory flour coating. The taste is more 'grande'. In addition, variations in presentation and additional ingredients used also make fried bananas have various flavors and textures. Some people like to add sugar or grated coconut as toppings, while others may serve them with chocolate or cheese.
"You don't need to dig deep into your pocket when you want to enjoy a special taste of fried banana at a restaurant. Mike Herawati, a cooking expert who is also the author of the recipe book "Menu Makanan PO Sabar", shares his recipe."
He is a dentist and a housewife who is multi-talented on her Instagram account @dokerkoki with more than 200k followers. Let's check out the flour mixture and fried banana recipe ala restaurant from Mike.
The first ingredient: - 50gr margarine - 1 tbsp granulated sugar - A pinch of salt The second ingredient: - 2 tbsp wheat flour - 2 tbsp tapioca flour - 2 tbsp glutinous rice flour The third ingredient: - Enough water - 2 pieces of horned bananas, cut as desired - Cooking oil
- First, mix the second ingredients into the first ingredients and stir until well combined. Then, slowly add water and stir until it thickens to your liking.
- Warm up enough cooking oil for a while. While waiting for the oil to reach the desired temperature, dip the bananas into the mixture of batter.
- Carefully place the banana in the preheated oil, then flip the banana to prevent sticking and to ensure they are evenly coated. Continue frying until the color of the banana turns golden brown.
- When it is ripe, you can drain the bananas and serve. You are free to add toppings according to your taste. Report by Amanda Syavira/ Source: IG @dokterkoki
