"This time we will cook Rendang which is simple with the Special Rendang Spice Mix. For half a kilo of meat, one sachet is enough," said Chef Remy Sedayu, shared during the Raya Kitchen Racik Berbagi Rasa event on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at the Grand Mosque of Pondok Indah.
Chef Remy shared some tips to consider when cooking rendang. According to him, the most important thing is the coconut milk.
"When making coconut milk, don't throw away the grated coconut because it will produce oil. Rendang is known to last long, and this longevity comes from the oil," explained Chef Remy.
In addition, the thickness of the coconut milk used must also be considered.
"What needs to be considered is the coconut milk. It must be thick because if it's watery, it will take longer to cook," added Chef Remy.
