Dream - The price of the minister's house in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), which is rumored to reach Rp14.4 billion, went viral and was protested by the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission V. The value is considered too expensive because the land price for development has been waived as the land acquisition process has been carried out beforehand.
The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) explained that they are currently building 36 ministerial houses in IKN. The construction requires a budget of Rp519.06 billion through the multiyears contract (MYC) scheme 2022-2024.
From the budget allocation, one minister's house in IKN is estimated to be worth around Rp 14.4 billion, excluding the price of the land.
The Director General of Housing at the Ministry of PUPR, Iwan Suprijanto, then explained the specifications of each minister's house in the form of a tapal.
Facilities of the Minister's House
Iwan said, one minister's house unit at IKN will be completed with all the contents of household furniture. Therefore, the ministers who move to the new capital will simply enter and occupy the house.
