"Every time an investor makes a gold purchase through Green Gold at Treasury, Andreas explained, they automatically participate in the tree planting program. In addition, investors can also participate in the carbon footprint reduction project designed to minimize the negative impact on the environment from gold mining and trading activities."
Meanwhile, CEO of Jejakin, Sudono Salim revealed that the tree obtained from the purchase of gold by investors will be chosen to plant trembesi and jackfruit.
According to him, both types of trees are capable of absorbing carbon very well. For example, the trembesi tree can absorb around 28.5 tons of carbon per year.
