Dream - The figure of Warren Buffet is no stranger. He is an investor and entrepreneur from the United States who is very wealthy. He is also the largest shareholder in Berkshire Hathaway. His wealth is abundant, but Warren Buffet has never entered the ranks of the richest people in the world, why?
In Forbes' records, in 2006 Buffet pledged to donate almost his entire enormous wealth worth more than US$55 billion or around Rp893 trillion for charitable activities.
According to Merdeka.com, Forbes estimates that Warren's wealth, even after donating a portion of it, still amounts to Rp2,000 trillion. With that fantastic contribution, Buffet automatically never ranks among the top 10 richest people in the world.
In other words, if Warren Buffett does not decide to start donating his wealth, he would easily become the richest person on Earth.
It is explained that Forbes had 474,998 class A shares, which were valued at approximately US$43 billion at the time when Buffet made that historic announcement in the summer of 2006. If he still owns all of those shares today, he would have a stack of shares worth US$292 billion.
The Buffet's wealth is getting crazier with an addition of around US$1 billion or more in class B shares and personal investments, and Buffett. If all of that wealth is combined, it will make him the number 1 person on this planet as the richest person, surpassing Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault. In fact, according to Forbes estimates, he is just a little away from breaking the record as the person with the largest recorded wealth, which was set in 2021 when Elon Musk briefly exceeded US$300 billion.
Based on his theory, Buffett's wealth value before being donated can buy the entire McDonald's Corporation, all Coca-Cola shares, or all 50 of the world's most valuable sports teams.
The majority of Buffett's donations are given to foundations that fund the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which has acquired shares worth more than US$43 billion when the foundation was given.
