Dream - The security officer of Semarang Tawang Station, Bank Jateng, named Achmad Hidayatul Ikhsan, found a Louis Vuitton bag belonging to a Sembrani train passenger heading to Gambir, which was left behind on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
Not just luxurious, the bag contains 5 pieces of 100 gram gold bars, 17 foreign currency banknotes, a charger, a key, 2 passbooks, a wallet containing cards, 5 vouchers, 2 vehicle registration certificates, and identification documents (ID card, driver's license) with an estimated value of 510 million Indonesian Rupiah.
The bag was left in the waiting area of Semarang Tawang Station, Bank Jateng. With promptness, the security officer of KA Sembrani immediately reported the matter to the Security Office of Semarang Tawang Station, Bank Jateng, for further investigation at the mentioned location.

At 17.30 WIB, the goods arrived at the Security Post of Gambir Station and were immediately handed over to the owner. The owner of the goods expressed deep gratitude because KAI had found their valuable belongings. They also highly appreciated the values of honesty held by KAI officers in carrying out their duties.
VP Public Relations KAI, Joni Martinus, said that luggage is actually the responsibility of the passengers. KAI does provide various adequate security facilities, but that should not make passengers careless.
"Although the level of security provided by KAI is already good, passengers must remain vigilant and focused in taking care of their belongings,"

For customers who feel lost or left behind items on the train or in the station area, they can report to officers, including conductors on duty on the train, or security officers at the station, or through the KAI Contact Center at 121.
Leftover items are valued at Rp793.4 million.
During the transportation period of Lebaran 2024 from March 31st to April 8th, 2024, KAI has returned a total of 132 found items to their owners with an estimated value of Rp 793,475,000. The types of items include Laptop, HP, Tablet, Smartwatch, Wallet, food, and others.
"In the peak season, especially during the Lebaran transportation moment, the passenger volume increases drastically, so we once again urge customers not to be careless. We also remind customers to bring only necessary items and try to keep them in one place, such as a suitcase or backpack," said Joni Martinus.
