Dream - Every company is required to pay religious holiday allowance (THR) to its employees to fulfill the needs of Religious Holidays. Like in previous years, this year's Eid also left a sad story for workers who did not receive their rightful THR.
Most workers who do not receive or receive their THR late are due to the company's current problems.
"Not only private companies, but also some state-owned enterprises or BUMN experience issues in distributing THR. Most of these THR payments are late according to government recommendations. Here is a list of BUMN that have had problems in paying THR:"
1. PTDI
Quoting Liputan6.com, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) became a topic of discussion after hundreds of PTDI employees were suspected of going on strike due to delayed hajj payments until March 2024 and Eid al-Fitr allowance (THR). This incident then went viral on social media.
Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Kartika Wirjoatmodjo explained that the case of delayed payment of salaries and holiday allowances for PTDI employees is caused by a mismatch of cash inflows and outflows.
The delay resulting in the cash mismatch is due to issues with the project undertaken by PTDI, which has impacted the company's finances.
"Furthermore, currently PTDI has made payment for THR (holiday allowance) and employee salaries so that the previous issues have been resolved. 'Yesterday, salary and THR payments have been settled,' said Kartika."
2. Indofarma
Not only PTDI, THR and Indofarma employee salaries also become the spotlight after a viral post on account X mentioned that Indofarma employees have not received their salaries and THR.
"This is a demo of employees of the state-owned company PT Dirgantara Indonesia who have not received their annual bonus (THR) or even salary, besides that state-owned company Indofarma also has not received salary and THR. Perhaps Mr. @erickthohir and @AryaSinulingga can provide an explanation," quoted from the @partaisocmed account. Then, representatives of management and employees represented by the Indofarma Workers Union held a meeting at the commercial office of PT Indofarma Tbk on Jalan Tambak Number 2, Kebon Manggis, Matraman, East Jakarta on Friday, April 5, 2024."
Next, PT Indofarma Tbk Management (INAF) stated that they have paid the Eid al-Fitr Allowance (THR) for the year 1445 H/2024 to all employees of the Indofarma group.
"The Eid Allowance (THR) for Indofarma employees has been fully paid and not installment," said GM Corporate Secretary Warjoko Sumedi, in a written statement. As a result, the payment of THR is in accordance with Article 22 paragraph 5 of the Collective Labor Agreement between the Indofarma Workers Union and PT Indofarma Tbk, employees are given THR every year, equivalent to one month's salary. The THR is given to employees who have worked continuously for 12 months or more."
