The two products are fabric with HS code 107 and carpets or other textile coverings (HS 64).

"Currently, we are waiting for the PMK, in the final stage," he said. As for carpet products, he continued, the import duty regulation is an extension of the previous regulation since 2021. This BMTP regulation is being reinstated to protect domestic textile products. Currently, KPPI is investigating other imported goods such as cotton yarn, artificial filament yarn, woven cotton fabric, and slag wool."

The legal basis for the imposition of BMAD and BMTP is regulated in Government Regulation Number 34 of 2011 concerning Anti-Dumping Measures, Countervailing Measures, and Safeguard Measures. The fundamental difference between anti-dumping measures and safeguard measures lies in their subject of imposition.

"In wearing both of these instruments, there are a number of requirements that must be fulfilled. Meanwhile, the countries that Indonesia has investigated and imposed BMAD and BMP include India, Republic of Korea, China, Japan, United States, European Union, Russia, Kazakhstan, Australia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, Turkey, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Taiwan, Bangladesh, and Egypt."
