"The Registration Period for Purchasing 3 Kg LPG Using ID Cards is Extended Until May 2024"
"The community that has registered is only 31.5 million out of 189 million NIK"
"The community that has registered is only 31.5 million out of 189 million NIK"
"Dream - Communities that have not yet registered as recipients of subsidized 3 kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) can now prepare. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has decided to extend the registration period for purchasing subsidized LPG using ID cards until May 31, 2024. The registration period for communities eligible to purchase LPG, which is done by showing the population identification number (NIK), was previously set to end on January 31, 2024."
"(Registration) we extend until May 31, 2024," said the Director of Downstream Oil and Gas Business Development at the Directorate General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Mustika Pertiwi, quoted from Merdeka.com, Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
"Mustika recorded that the NIK registered at the sub-distributor or official base for 3 kg LPG until December 31, 2023, has only reached 31.5 million NIK. Looking at this data, the registration for subsidized LPG has been decided to be extended until the end of May 2024."
"As of December 31, 2023, it turns out that the status from Mr. Director General (Director General of Oil and Gas Tutuka Ariadji) indicates that only 31.5 million NIK have registered," said Mustika. The number of registrants for subsidized 3 Kg LPG is still far from the quota of the community entitled to receive it. Referring to data from the Acceleration of Targeting the Elimination of Extreme Poverty (P3KE), there are 189 million NIK entitled to use 3 kg LPG."
"To that end, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources ensures that it will continue to monitor the progress of the program and evaluate any shortcomings. "We will see later what the progress is like, but the point is that we will evaluate it later. The main point is the direction from the President that we must not let shortages occur in the field; we will evaluate it again later," said Mustika."
"Of the total 31.5 million NIK, there are 24.4 million NIK that are consumers according to P3KE data. Meanwhile, 7.1 million NIK are on-demand consumers."
"On demand means registering in a place for a total of 7.1 million (NIK) because why? Because they have not been registered yet. So, it means that if there are community members who come and are checked off (check list) and are not on the list, they are allowed to register until now, which amounts to 7.1 million (NIK). It will still be implemented for on demand until later, we hope that everyone can be registered," said the Director General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tutuka Ariadji."
"This registration is an effort by the government to ensure that the distribution of subsidized 3 kg LPG is on target."
For users of 3 kg LPG who have not yet registered or want to check their user status, it is mandatory to register or check personal data at the official distributor\/base before making a transaction. As information, to register for the purchase of 3 kg LPG, the public needs to show their identity card (KTP) and family card (KK) at the official distributor\/base. Those who are entitled to use 3 kg LPG include households, micro businesses, targeted fishermen, and targeted farmers.
