Dream - This story is not a soap opera. It is the bitter reality of a young Malaysian businessman who went bankrupt in the blink of an eye. Like a spinning wheel, this young man went from being a boss to living on the streets.
He is Ariff Peter. Seven years ago he had everything. His business was booming. A magnificent house. A flashy car. But all that wealth disappeared suddenly, as if in the blink of an eye.
Disaster struck the 27-year-old youth's life after being deceived in a crypto business. The digital currency business has plunged him into a debt of RM1 million or around Rp3.3 billion.
The following 'Bahasa' text translated to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "Crypto business is indeed very tempting. Many success stories are circulating. However, behind the sweet stories, there are also tears of failure in this digital money investment business. Every business indeed has risks, including crypto investment. There is even a theory that says high risk high return. Behind the big profits, there is also a big risk."
Before going bankrupt, Ariff Peter was quite brilliant. He was a newcomer in the music industry of the neighboring country. However, he made wrong decisions in his business. Ariff admitted that he trusted the investors too much.
In that business, Ariff Peter becomes a brand ambassador. With the image as a successful entrepreneur, he invites people to invest. That capital certainly makes many people believe in putting their money.
But unfortunately, the trusted investor turned out to be a traitor. He was deceived. Everyone who was with him in his business ran away. Only Ariff Peter remained to face the people who had entrusted their money for investment. Actually, Ariff Peter invited the victims with the intention of helping them progress and improve the economy. But in reality, it didn't go as expected. Ariff Peter doesn't want to run away from responsibility, so he chooses to return the money that was entrusted to him.
tutur Ariff Peter.
There is no other choice for Ariff Peter but to sell assets. He has to return a considerable amount of money by selling two luxurious houses, three cars including one imported vehicle, and even a cattle farm. "The only thing left is this Proton Wira that I use for work and to sleep," he said.
"Since selling all his belongings, Ariff Peter has been sleeping in his car. However, the proceeds from the sold assets were not enough to pay off his debts. \u201cThat's why I don't rent a house or a room because my responsibilities are too heavy,\u201d he said."
After selling those assets, Ariff Peter still has a debt of RM100,000 or around Rp32 million. Although he has found a permanent job, he still has to work on the side and sleep in his car in order to pay off the debt. The young man who started his business at the age of 20 feels that his past life was much easier than now. He still remembers the beautiful times when he lived with his father - while his mother passed away eight years ago due to breast cancer. Ariff felt happy at that time because he had a farm with several workers.

The first three months since selling all those assets, it was very difficult for Ariff Peter to live his life. But now he is accustomed to living in a car and on the streets. As long as he can sleep and not get rained on, he is grateful.

Every Monday to Friday he sleeps in a car parked near his office. During the weekend, Ariff Peter does music work in his friend's studio. "Any job that can be done, I will do as long as it earns halal money. About 90 percent of the salary and the results of his side work are used to pay off debts," said Ariff Pete.
Ariff Peter indeed feels very burdened by his current life. However, he sees it as a price that must be paid for his mistakes. He considers it as a life lesson. "I have gone through difficult phases and friends have left me. Some good people left when I was not in the best condition. They stopped answering my phone calls and disappeared from my life," he said. "For now, I choose to temporarily stay in the car and only when all debts are paid off, I will consider renting a place," he added.
Ariff Peter also takes on various jobs such as cleaning and sanitizing places and houses, besides writing lyrics. Ariff Peter also accepts orders for making business posters, copywriting, and various video content in addition to delivery services. (Daily Metr)
