Specifically, the Acting Head of the Jakarta Metropolitan Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) of the Ministry of Transportation, Suharto, stated that one of the causes of traffic congestion in Jakarta is the number of private vehicles coming from elite areas heading towards Jakarta.

The hope arises because his party and the government have conducted a study regarding the solution to the traffic congestion. In addition to the government, Suharto also urges that future operators need to calculate the fleet needs and the tariff amount.

"Hopefully, in the near future, this will be realized. Who will operate it? We certainly also invite operators who have been involved in public transportation to be able to serve it," he requested. "They are currently trying to calculate how far it will be served, what the operational costs will be, and what the potential passengers will be like. They are currently conducting in-depth research on this," concluded Suharto.
