In this political year, the number one person in Indonesia, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), personally announced CASN 2024 which will open 2,302,543 positions. The millions of CASN positions consist of 690,822 positions for fresh graduates. The rest are Government Employees with Employment Agreements (PPPK) with a total of 1,605,694 positions.

Along with that, the government provides an opportunity for new graduates or fresh graduates to participate in the recruitment of civil servants (CPNS) in 2024. "The government provides an opportunity for new graduates or fresh graduates by opening 690 thousand CPNS formations in 2024," said Jokowi quoted from Liputan6.com, Friday, January 5, 2024.

"As mandated by Law Number 20 of 2023 concerning Civil Servants, this year there will be a recruitment of 1.6 million. The positions that have not been filled are for PPPK. These positions will be for teachers, lecturers, healthcare workers, and technical personnel according to the needs. Therefore, this year there will be a total of 2.3 million positions for prospective Civil Servants," said Jokowi.

More details, for central institutions are divided into vacancies for fresh graduate CPNS or general CPNS as many as 207,247 positions. Then, there are 15,460 vacancies for lecturers, while for teachers, healthcare workers, and technical staff there are 191,787 positions. For PPPK vacancies in central institutions, there are 281,936 positions intended for teachers, healthcare workers, and technical staff.

Vacancies for CPNS fresh graduates or CPNS general in regional agencies amount to 483,575 positions for technical staff. Then, there are 1,383,758 positions available for PPPK vacancies in regional governments, consisting of 419,146 teaching staff, 417,196 healthcare staff, and 547,416 technical staff positions.
