Based on the post by Orthopedic Specialist, Asa Ibrahim, osteoarthritis (OA) or calcification itself is a disease that causes a decline in the function of body organs due to long-term use and eventually leads to damage.
This disease can be experienced earlier due to certain conditions, especially if you have had an injury and have not immediately consulted a doctor. Here are some tips revealed by Asa to keep your joints healthy and prevent osteoarthritis.
1. Diligently Exercise
Several types of sports such as cycling can not only increase muscle mass and improve metabolism, but also strengthen thigh and leg muscles.

Obesity is one of the most common causes of osteoarthritis, especially when it occurs at a relatively young age or around 40 years old. "If you are still obese, be careful when exercising, yes. Avoid high impact exercises that are too heavy for the knees."
3. Immediately Seek Medical Treatment When Injured
Perhaps, many people underestimate the condition of joints or bones when injured. This is because some joint or bone conditions can heal on their own after an injury.
"Nevertheless, it can worsen the condition of bones and joints in the long run. Immediately consult a doctor if experiencing knee injuries, ligaments, fractured bones, meniscus, and others. 'If the healing process is not good, it can quickly cause osteoarthritis,' said Asa."
4. Avoid Secondary Diseases Causing Knee Pain
