First Recommended Complementary Feeding that Can be Tried for Children, Delicious and High in Nutrition

Motherhood would certainly want their children to grow and develop well. Well, one of the efforts that mothers can do to realize this is by paying attention to the nutrition intake of their little ones. In addition to breastfeeding (ASI), children who have reached the age of 6 months and above can already be given complementary foods or MPASI. The condition is that the child must be able to sit upright without assistance, open their mouth, or show interest when adults are eating.

It should also be noted that this complementary feeding should not only be nutritious, but also stimulate the child's appetite, provide flavor variations, and of course, be delicious. Here are some recommendations for complementary feeding menus that can be tried to ensure that the little one gets the necessary nutrients.

1. Ground Meat

The first recommended complementary feeding that mothers can consider is minced meat. Foods high in animal protein such as minced meat are considered good for children's growth and development.

1. Ground Meat

The translation of the text from 'Bahasa' to 'English' while preserving any html tags is as follows: "Because, inside animal protein there are complete amino acids that help the brain growth process of the little one and support their intelligence. However, if the mother feels that minced meat is too difficult to fulfill, it can also be replaced with other sources of protein. For example, such as egg yolks, shrimp, duck, and cow's milk products. In addition to protein, also fulfill the intake of carbohydrates and fats for the little one."

2. Puree Fruits and Vegetables

The next MPASI suggestion that mothers can choose is fruit and vegetable puree. Both of these foods are able to provide multivitamin and mineral intake for the little one, which is good for supporting their growth and development.

2. Puree Fruits and Vegetables

Well, for the fruits and vegetables themselves, you can choose peaches, bananas, avocados, pumpkins, carrots, and others to be made into puree. The way to make it is quite easy, just need to be mashed without adding any other ingredients. However, for some vegetables like pumpkins or carrots, you can boil them briefly and then mash them.

3. Green Beans

Green beans can be the next choice to be made as the first complementary food for children. Inside the green beans themselves, there is a high content of resistant starch, which can stimulate the growth of the beloved child and also maintain their digestive health.

3. Green Beans

Besides that, in half a cup of green beans, there are also 4 grams of fiber, 4 grams of protein, 34 percent of the daily value of vitamins, and 34 percent of the daily value of vitamin K which is good for children's growth and development. Mothers can make porridge from these green beans. If the child doesn't like the taste, mothers can also add pureed pumpkin to make it sweeter and tastier.

That was the first recommendation for complementary feeding that you can give to your little one. Remember to always introduce one type of new food at a time and monitor your child's reaction to the food. In addition, make sure that the food provided is appropriate for your child's age and development. Do not hesitate to consult with a doctor or nutritionist for further guidance on complementary feeding that suits your child's needs. Good luck!
