One of the live hosts is the husband of Citra Hanisah who uses the TikTok account together. Citra admits that initially creating and using the TikTok digital platform was only for entertainment purposes but was curious about the yellow basket feature often mentioned by TikTok users.

To answer her curiosity, Citra started to find out and try the features that are touted as a source of income for users of this application. After learning about the yellow basket, which is an affiliate program, Citra registered to become an affiliate creator in TikTok's shopping feature. Since 2021, Citra and her husband have been regularly using and optimizing the shopping feature on TikTok, especially during the pandemic. Since then, they have been selling directly from their home location, taking turns with her husband.

"Usually I divide my time with my husband. Since we can go live every day, we take turns selling our products. For example, if I want to bathe the child, cook, he becomes the host. If he is taking the child to school or shopping for the shop's stock, I become the host," Citra said in her written statement on Friday, March 15, 2024. Citra admitted that besides earning income from live TikTok, her family has also become closer. She and her husband can help each other in taking care of household needs and other necessities."

"In the beginning of the live stream, I sold accessories, bracelets, necklaces. Even though no one was watching, or only one product was purchased out of the three-hour live stream, commissions still came in," she said. From accessories, Citra continued to focus on selling groceries, and then started selling sachet coffee products after seeing that the majority of her live shopping viewers were women between 25-30 years old. According to Citra, her economy has been increasingly helped since becoming an affiliate creator on TikTok.""

His family is even closer than usual because he and his husband can work together at home taking care of the children and earning a living without having to leave the house. Now Citra's family has two sources of income, the first one from the shop and the other one from TikTok.

"His income is indeed larger now. Previously, the earnings from the stall were only enough for meals. Alhamdulillah, since there is an additional income from TikTok, this income can fulfill the needs of the family, especially the children. Previously, they never went on trips, even just to Ancol, but now they can. We can easily buy whatever the children want," said Citra with deep emotion."

"With the return of Shop | Tokopedia, Citra can sell groceries again and do live broadcasts on TikTok. For her, selling on TikTok is one way to sustain her life in the future. Moreover, the presence of Shop | Tokopedia is not only a livelihood for her and her husband, but also for millions of housewives like her."

Earning money without having to leave our child. Seeing the migration process of Shop | Tokopedia almost finished, Citra hopes that this feature will not be eliminated again because there may not be similar applications that have the same features, benefits, and convenience that she and other local merchants feel. "We are grateful because the government supports this collaboration, so my husband and I can sell again. Many of us small people feel helped. I see other friends, who sell fashion in villages, if it is removed, they will be unemployed again. If it is removed, they will not get income again," Citra concluded.
